Makeup brands

Hi ladies, I'm thinking of switching makeup brands. I'd like something on the nicer end, but lower-priced (if that makes sense). What brands work well for you and why. I currently use Avon, but I'd like to try something different. Has anyone used BeautiControl, and if so, what did you think. Any other suggestions would be great.

I have an addiction to lip gloss. I use e l f, and it works great!!!! For foundation, I totally splerge. I don't remember the name of the brand, but it's totally wicked awesome!!!!!

Yes, I'd be willing to spend a bit more on foundation as well. I love makeup, but I haven't worn it to work in awhile, as I've been scrambling out the door so I'm not late.
